Day 1: Semera → Dalol → Hamedila
● Arrival in Semera:
Fly in from Addis Ababa to Semera in the morning. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your local guide and the tour team at Semera airport.
● Drive from Semera to Dalol:
From Semera, you’ll begin the drive to Dalol, a remote area known for its dramatic landscapes, vibrant colors, and natural formations. The journey will take several hours, with a landscape that gradually transforms from dry desert to the more surreal, molten-like formations of the Danakil Depression.
● Visit Dalol’s Sulfur Springs and Salt Canyons:
Once you arrive in Dalol, you will explore the Dalol Sulfur Springs, a breathtaking natural wonder where hot springs filled with sulfuric water create a dazzling mix of colors in yellows, reds, and greens. ● Dinner at Hamedila Camp:

Day 2: Hamedila → Semera → Addis Ababa
● Morning Visit to Salt Lake:
After breakfast, you’ll take a short trip to the nearby Salt Lake, a vast expanse of salt flats that stretch out as far as the eye can see. The landscape is especially stunning at sunrise, with the colors of the sky reflecting off the salt surface. It’s a peaceful moment to soak in the beauty of the region before heading back.
● Drive to Semera:
Following your visit to the Salt Lake, you’ll drive back to Semera, with opportunities to enjoy the raw desert scenery along the way.
● Flight from Semera to Addis Ababa:
You’ll arrive in Semera in time to catch your flight back to Addis Ababa at 5:25 PM, concluding your incredible short journey to the Danakil Depression.
